About Our Child Care Programs
The MFCC Child Care Programs offer developmentally appropriate care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. All our classrooms are staffed by qualified, experienced early childhood professionals. Our programs are designed to expand upon each child’s learning experience by creating an age-appropriate environment that is safe, nurturing and fun.
MFCC Child Care Programs participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Meals and snacks are provided daily. All meals served meet USDA nutritional requirements and are served family style.
The MFCC Early Childhood Program is made of three parts: Infant Program (6weeks – 18 months); Toddler Program (18 months – 42 months); and Preschool (3 years to 5 years). The MFCC Early Childhood Program has been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since 2002, and has been recognized by the State of Vermont Agency of Human Services as a 5-STAR program.
The Infant Program provides year round care for children 6 weeks old up to 18 months old. This program serves up to six children, and employs 2 full-time care providers. Infant schedules are flexible in order to fulfill individual needs. Our Infant teachers document each child’s daily routine (including diapering, eating and sleeping schedules, and play activities) and developmental growth for parents and file portfolios.
The Toddler Program provides year round care for children 18 months to 42 months old. This program serves up to eight children, and employs 2 full-time care providers. The toddler daily schedule includes a developmentally appropriate routine that allows for some flexibility that meets the individual needs of each child while also building in some predictable schedule of activities such as circle time, group snack and lunch time, nap time, and special projects.
The Preschool Program provides year round care and education for children ages 3 years to 5 years (until they enter kindergarten). This program serves up to 15 children, and employs 3 full-time teachers. The curriculum is play-based, where activities are intentionally developed from each child’s abilities and interests. The program environment in each classroom includes materials and learning opportunities to promote children’s self-esteem and respect for others.

Child Care Program for School Age Children
Milton After School Kids (M.A.S.K)
The MASK program is a licensed childcare program for school-age children in grades K-6. The program is conveniently located at the Milton Elementary School. The MASK program is open during the school year for both before and after school care, and full-days during school vacations. MASK also runs a full-day summer camp program for school age children. Children enrolled in our MASK program have the benefit of having access to the school gymnasium and playground (weather permitting). MASK activities include cooking, gym time, outside play, homework help, arts & crafts, gardening, life skills, field trips, special events, and much more!
The MASK program has three key focuses. The first is to create a safe environment in which school age children can play, learn and explore new activities. Secondly, to provide an opportunity for school age children to get help with homework and academics. Our last key focus is to provide school age children with not only a sense of community but also a sense of belonging.
