A Letter from the
Executive Director

Greetings and welcome to the Milton Family Community Center (MFCC). I
hope as you read the 2009 Annual Report that
you get a good understanding of the importance, value and quality of
services provided at the Center. Although this past year was difficult for
all of us financially, MFCC was able to expand some of our programs to
assist more families to be successful in raising their family. Thanks to
fundraising efforts, community volunteers and a hard working staff, we
were able to enhance our food shelf to include a federal commodities
program, to start a vegetable garden, and to improve our playground
facility.
In our effort towards continuous improvement, staff and board members
participated in the 2009 Malcolm Baldrige
National Quality Award Criteria for Performance Excellence in
collaboration with the Vermont Council for Quality.
This survey examined the Center’s organizational processes providing us
with information to develop a strategic
plan to improve our services for the community.
This has been a productive year in providing effective, quality
services despite the downturn of the economy. We maintain our drive
towards continuous improvement of services, working collaboratively with
other agencies and being the "hub" of the community. If you would like to
learn more about the Center,
Sincerely,
Brett Chornyak
