The Milton Family Community Center
offers a full day, full year pre-kindergarten enrichment program for
children ages 3 years through 5 years. The Full Day
Preschool program is accredited with the National Association for
Education of Young Children and is a VT licensed child care
facility. The program offers a
play-based curriculum where activities are developed from each
child's abilities
and interests, then expanded upon to foster each individual child's
growth and
natural curiosity in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
Hands-on activities enrich each child's fine and gross motor skills,
sensory experiences, language development and social relationship
while also promoting self-esteem, self-respect, and respect for
others.
Full time slots only, 30 hour week
minimum. FDP participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program,
and provides nutritious Breakfast, Lunch, and an afternoon snack
prepared and cooked on-site. This cost is covered by tuition. FDP is
a HeadStart Collaborative Classroom which provides classroom
assistance and curriculum support and resource and referral
information to qualifying families. Call the Center for current
