The Milton Family Community Center offers a full day, full year pre-kindergarten enrichment program for children ages 3 years through 5 years. The Full Day Preschool program is accredited with the National Association for Education of Young Children and is a VT licensed child care facility. The program offers a play-based curriculum where activities are developed from each child's abilities and interests, then expanded upon to foster each individual child's growth and natural curiosity in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment. Hands-on activities enrich each child's fine and gross motor skills, sensory experiences, language development and social relationship while also promoting self-esteem, self-respect, and respect for others.
Full time slots only, 30 hour week minimum, $120-$127.5 per week. FDP participates in the Child and Adult Care Food Program, and provides nutritious Breakfast, Lunch, and an afternoon snack prepared and cooked on-site. This cost is covered by tuition. FDP is a HeadStart Collaborative Classroom which provides classroom assistance and curriculum support and resource and referral information to qualifying families.
